Switching IDEs can be a bit annoying (and a RAM hog if you have both open at the same time), but it allows me to use the best tool for the job, so I find it's worth it in the end. The WebStorm 2023.1 Early Access Program is open, and the first build is here with refinements for the new UI, Markdown and user experience improvements, and a reworked Settings Sync solution. In reality, I usually have both IDEs open at the same time and switch to the one that meets my needs best for the particular task I'm working on. Also, I may find myself missing GitHub copilot suggestions when coding in WebStorm, but right now I don't feel that way (possibly because I haven't used GitHub copilot enough). the Prisma extension that can format prisma schema files on save). That being said, there are some times where I'm coding in WebStorm and want to benefit from a VSCode extension (e.g. One of the main features of WebStorm is its support for TypeScript source code. This specialized tool focuses on JavaScript development and features an extensive suite of built-in developer tools, fast navigation, search, customizable environments, and real-time teamwork integrations. I've found myself switching over to WebStorm while working in VSCode if I need to do some significant refactoring. WebStorm is part of JetBrains’ suite of language-specific IDEs. If I had to pick a single editor, I would pick WebStorm due to its superior refactoring capabilities. Or just install Webstorm(Jetbrain) and test if autocomplete works and if it works then proceed to the hacky solution I mentioned. You can find the settings by opening the System Preferences window, then expanding Tools and selecting. These can save you time by automatically performing activities like reformatting your code or running eslint fix. Take backup and dont blame me if you dont know what you are doing. WebStorm allows you to configure different actions to perform when you save a file. In the Settings screen that shows up, in the top-left hand corner, there is a Search box. I use windows 7 and dont know if it should be done in mac etc. Once ESLint finishes installing in the above step, navigate through the following menus in Webstorm: File > Settings. Hot reload loads code changes into the VM and re-builds the widget tree, preserving the app state it doesnt rerun main() or initState(). Run the following command: npm install eslint -save-dev. The past couple of weeks I've been switching between both VSCode and WebStorm for the sake of being able to compare both editors accurately. Open command prompt and navigate to your project root. The only thing I've noticed that WebStorm does better than VSCode is that WebStorm will switch to the correct TypeScript version based on which file you're editing in the monorepo, whereas VSCode doesn't do that. Both editors seem to be able to handle opening projects at the root of a monorepo and still provide working autocompletion and formatting on save.
